Isn't there anything safe to pop into your mouth anymore? A new study on antioxidants revealed that vitamins may very well be increasing our mortality rates by more than a fifth of the usual chances.Studies written and published in the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) discussed that long-cherished nutrients Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Beta Carotene and Selenium are interfering with some of the body's natural processes such as phagocytosis and detoxification, thus resulting in higher death rates. In a study of 232,606 patients, it was determined that the said nutrients have various adverse effects. The subjects were grouped in two categories, high bias and low bias. The low bias respondents were then taken in, results were collected and after processing the data, it was found out that beta carotene increased mortality by seven percent, Vitamin A by 16 percent and Vitamin E by five percent. This, however, only happens when excessive amounts of the nutrients are taken in from unnatural sources. Polls are suspect, primarily. In effect, a person who takes in vitamin supplements may be lowering his risk of cancer and heart disease but may also be poisoning himself unwittingly. The best way to ensure that the nutrients are taken in by the body, scientists say, is still by having a balanced diet with a daily dose of fresh fruit and vegetables. |

There's a lot people want to talk about when it comes to the future, and that's exactly the nature of this article. And while we liked some of the ideas, honestly, it makes us hungry. To that effect, we picked up this interesting list of nutritional innovations scientists and doctors hope will take place within the next 25 years:For some of the more minor innovations:
