Between April and July 2006, PETA undercover
investigators reported live birds
whose legs were shoved into the metal shackles, from which they hang
upside-down on their way to being slaughtered. PETA's investigators
also witnessed how live birds were "slammed against transport trucks and
walls, punched and kicked, hung by broken legs, used as a punching bag,
and even sexually assaulted—all either for "fun" or out of frustration.
One worker crushed a live turkey's head under his shoe until her skull
exploded, and another swung a bird so hard against a handrail that he
exposed her spine. " One way to help the turkeys (and other livestock) is to go vegetarian and stop consuming meat altogether. But if that is out of the question, and we don't fault you for that, you can sign PETA's petition to include the birds under the Humane Methods of Slaughter Act (HMSA). turkeys may not have the nobility of horses, they are not endangered like the Giant Panda, but there is no excuse for cruelty. Click on the "Via" link below to sign the petition. |

this is so inhumane ¬¬
shall sign that in an instant.
I'll agree.. But i just cant stand PETA, their actions towards supporting humane behavior with animals is far from being humane itself.
PETA are gonna have to clear up their act before i start signing up for any of their stuff. They're a little too extremist for my liking... Shame really, as i do feel bad for the turkeys.
why would anyone sexually harass a turkey?
don't promote PETA, they have no understanding of the value of human life.
"humane behavior with animals is far from being humane itself."
Please explain and enlighten me. I havent followed any PETA activites or read up much about them, so please let us know what your mean by this.
I have been told that when you work with chickens all day you start to hear them say your name when they cluck
I was also told that you wouldn't think you'd be mean to them but when you deal with them all the working day you start to hate the f*ckers...
You miss qouted me number 3. You shoulda used the whole sentance:
"their actions towards supporting humane behavior with animals is far from being humane itself."
PETA are the people that firebomb animal testing labs just to 'save' the animals. They burn these places down with absolutly no regard to the cost or the human risk involved. They threaten people with their families lives if they do not cease the research they are doing.
I'm not a fan of animals being brutally hurt for no reason.. (incl. Sexual Harrassment LOL) But i reckon PETA are just bunch of criminals. I live in Oxford, England and near me is labratory where they do testing on animals. They're helping us find and develop cures to diseases like Parkinsons and others. Surely this is a good cause for animal testing when there is NO other option?
The aninal rights people tried to stop this lab from being built using many terrorist like methods... From razor blades in the mail, threat letters, and even digging up one of the workers dead grandma.. and holding her corpse for ransom! Messed up eh?
Admittedly, not all of the members of PETA are like this.. but a large portion is, and they need their act straight. You cant really force everyone in the world to become a vegitarian.
Thats enough ranting for me! And for the record, Wii will win! PS3 second, and Xbox360 will buurrn!!
Ok, now I know what you are talking about. I think that hurting animals for no reason such as this example should be punishable by the strictest ways. Im talking about serious 10-20 year jail no parol. But if it is to better human kind that is the grey area. I never knew PETA went to such extremes, and that is bull *****. Our world is so screwed up, and whatever happens to human kinda, I will accept with open arms :D GO global warming!!!!
I wonder how they'd like it if someone stepped on your skull and made it explode. GET THE GIANT KLEATS!
This message is mainly for Aphex. The people who firebomb and send razors and dig up grandmas are not part of PETA (or at least they shouldn't be); they are unlikely-to-ever-fully-grow-up ecoterrorists. They are similar to those Steve Irwin fans who went around killing stingrays. Members of PETA do sometimes do stupid things, but if this particular cause seems like a good one, then why let those stupid people stop you from joining the cause? Signing the petition won't somehow allow extremist PETA members to buy more firebombs, and not signing the petition punishes more than just the guilty. And finally, I know the internet is bad at conveying tone, so let me just say that I mean this in good will and am not trying to be a jerk. Just following up on some healthy, friendly discussion.
nobody cares, its survival of the fittest for all i care they can spluge in the damn things face and then kill it. its an animal, and i like animal fur heads tusks skins, and different trophies like that on my wall.
