This photo was taken by the Expedition 12 crew aboard the International Space Station. It shows the total Solar Eclipse which happened on 29th March 2006.

Solar Eclipse

This astronaut image captures the umbral shadow across southern Turkey, northern Cyprus, and the Mediterranean Sea. People living in these regions observed a total solar eclipse, in which the Moon completely covers the Sun’s disk. The photograph was taken at approximately 2:00 p.m. local time. The full image is hi-res at 3034x2064.

The image looks beautiful. Looks like I got myself a new wallpaper for this week.
