Eclipse chasers have been treated to a magnificent display of the moon obscuring Earth's view of the sun. The total solar eclipse of 2006 crossed Northern Africa and Central Asia, attracting hundreds of thousands of eclipse-worshippers especially in Libya, Egypt, and Turkey where the weather prospects are favorable.
