Space shuttle Atlantis suffers damage in space - Image 1We really don't know but the space shuttle Atlantis, it seems, is really going up against all odds. It should be remembered that its flight last December has been delayed many times before it was finally given the go signal by NASA a few days ago.

Despite NASA's thumbs up, meteorologists suggested that officials postponed Atlantis' flight once more because weather conditions during the scheduled launch were not favorable.

But Atlantis took its chances. Unfortunately, we just got word that Atlantis has suffered some damages. According to a NASA report, a slight protrusion of a thermal blanket on the starboard Orbital Maneuvering System (OMS) pod of the space shuttle has just been detected.

Aside from the above mentioned, there are no currently known damage to Atlantis. We will be updating you regarding this matter as soon as some thing comes up.
