Reports of UFOs abound anew in Texas

If you ever see a large, illuminated and silent object flying low in the sky , would you think it's a UFO? That's what several dozen people from Stephenville, Texas thought as they sighted the mysterious airborne object last January 8, 2008.

According to Texas locals, the supposed UFO was larger, faster, quieter, and lower to the ground than a normal airplane would have been. Others reported that they saw fighter jets chasing it.

Military officials, however, said that no aircraft were launched from their base during the night of the sighting. Major Karl Lewis, spokesman for the 301st Fighter Wing at the Joint Reserve Base Naval Air Station in Fort Worth, cited a more logical explanation for the alleged UFO, claiming that it was an illusion caused by a play of the setting sun's lights on two commercial airlines.

Nevertheless, reports of alleged UFOs have persisted to this day, prompting the Mutual UFO Network to go to Stephenville, Texas to investigate the reports.
