Nessie? - Image 1It's been a long, long while since we last heard anything about Nessie, be it suspiciously-blurry photographs or even dodgy sonar images taken from the deep, murky waters of the Loch. But an amateur scientist by the name of Gordon Holmes may have struck gold with alleged video footage of Nessie during one of her jaunts above the loch's surface - and experts are yet to confirm or deny its authenticity.

Granted, the video doesn't show much - only a shadow making its way across the water, a wake trailing behind it. Not really compelling evidence when you take into consideration the fact that Nessie footage is quite easy to fake, even way back then. And with today's video-editing technology readily available to the budding home film-maker, this video is quite suspect.

Despite this, however, Gordon Holmes is more than convinced of his tape's veracity, and hopes to have it analyzed further to finally get to the bottom of the mystery once and for all. He reasons that even from a scientific standpoint - even if the creature he captured on video turns out to be something else rather than Nessie herself - the legend of the elusive monster stands up to scrutiny.

Well, what do you readers think? Undeniable evidence or tourist trap? Check out the read link to see the video for yourself, and let us know by the comments if you think it's real or not.

» rare creature sighting footage was never, ever, clear enough to prove their existence.

Why?

Because it always could be fake... to proof its existence, you need the 100 percent certainty, which means: catch the bastard!
