Mona Lisa painting model finally identified by German experts - Image 1

Leonardo da Vinci's famous painting widely known as "Mona Lisa" holds a lot of secrets, and these do not even include those proposed by the films and the books about the Holy Grail, Mary Magdalene, and everything else in between.

The mystery we are talking about here is the identity of the model in the painting itself. According to experts, there are three standing theories regarding this: the model in the Mona Lisa painting could either be da Vinci's mother, lover, or the artist himself.

A current finding, however, proves that the girl in the painting is no other than a certain Lisa Gherardini who was the wife of a wealthy Florentine merchant, Francesco del Giocondo. True enough, the painting is officially titled "La Gioconda," referring to married name of Gherardini.

Heidelberg University library experts were able to solve the puzzle after finding scribbles in the margin of a book dating back to 1503 owned by Florentine city official Agostino Vespucci. The latter was a known a acquaintance of da Vinci.

"There is no reason for any lingering doubts that this is another woman. One could even say that books written about all this in the past few years were unnecessary, had we known," commented Leipzig University art historian Frank Zoellner.

if they could only find out where mister common sense stupiditiy came from...

» SOLVED! (now with extra condescending biblical nonsense)

It was a dark and stormy night... The gods sat perturbed around a finely crafted wooden table... Angered at the offset of knowledge in the world they devised a plan.
Aeons ago the serpent had lured their hapless deciples over to the tree of knowledge and set them free... free to discuss and argue in informed ways... and so had offset the balance of knowledge in the universe...

To rebalance the scales the gods devised a new creation... That creation was Mr Common Sense...

On the eighth day they created a Human so dense and stupid that he single handedly lowered the average human IQ to minus forty...

Immediately he was set to work lowering the tone and intellect of QJnet, and there he stayed.

And God wept. Tears of joy filled the grails and chalices of Eden and balance was restored...
