It's been a while but after all the news about Virgin Galactic's ambitious plan to send space faring passengers to... well, space, the company has released some new images showing their progress on the new White Knight Two and SpaceShipTwo spacecrafts that they plan to launch for the project.

For those of you who don't know the details, SpaceShipTwo is the actual spaceship that will ferry passengers, while White Knight Two is the plane that will bring it up high enough to launch itself into space. People who have ambitions to be a pseudo-astronaut will have to bring a big wallet with them since the price for a seat on SpaceShipTwo will cost around US$ 200,000.

So far, SpaceShipTwo is nearly 60% complete, with White Knight Two just about ready for testing. Both crafts will be launched from the Spaceport America in the New Mexico desert and will hopefully be completed by 2009.
