Fermilab and Europe's CERN face lawsuit over particle collider due to fears - Image 1It seems that the gigantic particle collider known as the Large Hadron Collider's (HLC) ATLAS detector won't be operational until it manages to clean up the legal issues facing it. It seems that representatives at Fermilab and Europe's CERN must deal with this impending "matter" first before anything else.

Even if both companies have stated their case that the HLC would be able to cause enormous and cosmic catastrophes. Fears and worries of several critics have put the operations of this unit to an untimely halt.

Some of the fears raised were regarding the creation of mini-black holes that could mutate into a disastrous maelstrom underneath the French-Swiss border. Another question in the air is that exotic particle known as magnetic monopoles could affect and disrupt atomic nuclei. How's that for doomsday fear?

As of writing, the case is being handled by the U.S. attorney's office in Hawaii. In addition to this, the Justice Department's Environment and Natural Resources Division is going to be participating in this legal event. Well, we'll keep you guys posted for more updates on the developments on this situation.
