If you think that WHO is just one of the many organizations who hates smoking, well, think again. Apparently, smokers themselves hate the habit. In a recent study compiled by the Cancer Council Victoria (CCV), they found out that 84% of smokers were not that happy to continue giving in to the usual nicotine fix.

On the other hand, there are only 11% of smokers who are happy to continue smoking for the rest of their days.

According to CCV executive director, Todd Harper, this study just goes to show how addictive smoking cigarettes are. Aside from that, this also shows how the tobacco industry makes it hard for smokers to quit. He suggests that the industry use plain packaging and ban point-of-sale tobacco displays so as to encourage smokers to kick the habit.

Hopefully this time, the tobacco industry won't screw things up with those unconvincing anti-youth smoking ads.
